Product Details
Swami Advaitananda, revered as Gopal Maharaj, was the oldest of Sri Ramakrishna's monastic disciples, a foundational figure in the Ramakrishna Math and Mission. Though his role preceded the formal administrative title, he was a senior trustee and a vital "Vice-President" in the nascent Order. He embodied strict discipline and tireless practical service, supervising early construction and daily routines at Baranagore and later at Belur Math. His dedication was crucial in establishing the physical monastery of the RKMM, embodying Swami Vivekananda's vision. A direct link to Sri Ramakrishna's immediate circle, Swami Advaitananda's life of renunciation and selfless work laid a strong spiritual and practical groundwork for the global movement, inspiring monks and devotees to uphold the highest ideals of the Holy Trio. He passed away in 1909, leaving an indelible legacy.
